Alaman ulak

Alaman ulak is a traditional Kyrgyz horse game, particularly popular in the south of the country, in which large numbers of riders battle for possession of a goat or calf carcass and try to carry it to a designated place. Unlike the organized team sport kok-boru, it is a wilder mass competition, often held during village celebrations, where riders compete for prestige and sometimes valuable prizes such as horses, livestock, cars or cash.
